Crumbs Cupcake of the Week - Butterscotch

The cold chill of winter came fast which means New York is gearing up for the winter holidays! Which gives everyone an excuse to either stop by Bryant Park for some hot chocolate or just wander about the city in search of the best hot fudge sundae.

Although butterscotch is best served drizzled over ice cream, I'll settle for Crumbs' vanilla cupcake with butterscotch cream cheese to satisfy my sweet tooth.

Check it out this week as well as keep update with spur-of-the-moment deals on their Twitter feed.

2012 Holiday Window Displays in NYC

Holidays are often the best times for tourists with chance to see New York City during their vacation.  For New Yorkers its also a time to brood and avoid all the any plans that involve remotely going near main points of traffic.

However there is one that thing that both tend to enjoy is the holiday window displays.  People line up and wait just to see what will light up and what new themes stores have come up with.

Like the ice rinks that open, the special markets that open during this time of year, stores get into the season by decorating their windows with images that inspire anyone to take their camera out. I personally recommend starting midtown and walking up. Depending on the time of day you can visit them all in one day - be prepared to brave crowds and have your walking shoes on.

See Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson for $50

Ever imagined what any of our founding fathers would be if they were a twenty-something, emo rock star? From the mind of Michael Friedman, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a musical rendition about just that. Dealing with populism, the Indian Removal act, and of course making time for his wife Rachel, Andrew Jackson has complicated life story that can only be illustrated through song and dance.

The producers of the show would like to show their political support with their "Jackson for a Grant" initiative which offers $50 tickets to the show through November 24th.

Just use the code BBJVOTE when you purchase your tickets on BroadwayOffers.com or purchase tickets at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater box office (242 West 45th Street, Manhattan); or by call (212) 947-8844.

Meet the Queen of Kawaii March 16th!

If there was ever an icon of kawaii, Hello Kitty would be it and she would be front and center.

As a fan of anything Hello Kitty, I was ecstatic to learn Sephora was going to release a collection centered around the fabulously cute feline. It was a hard decision what item to buy first, especially with so many options to choose from.

Blush sticks, lip gloss, perfume, a makeup holder in the shape of Hello Kitty, and so much more.
Sephora is in full swing of advertising the collection with all of its female staff wearing pink Chubby Bunny headbows. If you are in the SoHo area or just need an excuse to shop, Sephora has invited Yuko Yamaguchi, the creator of Hello Kitty, to their flagship store on Wednesday, March 16th at 5PM!
In honor of this exclusive collection she'll be signing autographs and taking pictures.
There is a catch though. Stop by the Soho location between 10AM and 5PM next Wednesday and purchase at least $35 worth of Hello Kitty collection. The first 200 customers will re…
