Tokyo Rebel Carries Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Alice and the Pirates

This is big news in the Lolita world. East Coast Lolitas won't have to venture all the way to San Francisco for brand as Tokyo Rebel has announced today they will soon be carrying Baby the Stars Shine Bright and Alice and the Pirates.

It is great news after their previous announcement about no longer be stocking Angelic Pretty items. However, there's still some AP items left in the store, so stop by before it's all gone. (Note: Since they won't be restocking, the items are all on sale!)

2012 Holiday Window Displays in NYC

Holidays are often the best times for tourists with chance to see New York City during their vacation.  For New Yorkers its also a time to brood and avoid all the any plans that involve remotely going near main points of traffic.

However there is one that thing that both tend to enjoy is the holiday window displays.  People line up and wait just to see what will light up and what new themes stores have come up with.

Like the ice rinks that open, the special markets that open during this time of year, stores get into the season by decorating their windows with images that inspire anyone to take their camera out. I personally recommend starting midtown and walking up. Depending on the time of day you can visit them all in one day - be prepared to brave crowds and have your walking shoes on.

See Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson for $50

Ever imagined what any of our founding fathers would be if they were a twenty-something, emo rock star? From the mind of Michael Friedman, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a musical rendition about just that. Dealing with populism, the Indian Removal act, and of course making time for his wife Rachel, Andrew Jackson has complicated life story that can only be illustrated through song and dance.

The producers of the show would like to show their political support with their "Jackson for a Grant" initiative which offers $50 tickets to the show through November 24th.

Just use the code BBJVOTE when you purchase your tickets on or purchase tickets at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theater box office (242 West 45th Street, Manhattan); or by call (212) 947-8844.
